A photo taken on May 15 shows the beautiful cityscape of Zigong in Sichuan province. Over the past years, the city of Zigong has stepped up the construction of a park city, featuring beautiful mountains and rivers. So far, a total of 87 mountains and 74 rivers have been registered in the downtown area, and some 20 mountain parks have been constructed in the city through ecological restoration. With an investment of 40 billion yuan, the Fuxi River Comprehensive Treatment and Eastern New City Water Connection Project provides a 100-kilometer-long green corridor for citizens to entertain and do exercises. In addition, the city has enhanced cultural relics protection, and by now, a total of 2,404 immovable cultural heritage sites have been registered.
